After the contestants’ very first night in Paradise, bartender Wells Adams declared that the group had “the most amount of makeout sessions we’ve had on day one in the history of the show.” Worth noting: Nearly every one of Episode 1’s new couples claimed that they were the ones to smooch the soonest. So… who really locked lips first? Here’s a breakdown of all the couples who had a first kiss on the Bachelor in Paradise premiere.
Who had the first kiss on Bachelor in Paradise Season 7?
Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb
Abigail Heringer got the first date card of Paradise—and her first solo Bachelor date card ever. She asked Noah Erb on the date with her, then proceeded to tell him all about how she tends to friend-zone guys. Noah wasn’t having it, and kissed Abigail after they beat the heck out of the pinatas that served as their date-night décor. Right afterward, Noah declared that they were the couple to have the first kiss of Paradise.
Tahzjuan Hawkins and Tre Cooper
Tahzjuan Hawkins was attracted to Tre Cooper early on, but things quickly fizzled after she confessed that she’d once been on a date with Tre’s uncle—and that they’d kissed. Tre seemed pretty creeped out by the whole thing, but the two later ended up moving past it. They spent the night cuddling and kissing.
Maurissa Gunn and Connor Brennan
Connor Brennan and Maurissa Gunn coupled up pretty early on, getting cozy on a daybed before diving into their makeout session. Connor, who was sent home from Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette after a bad kiss, said during his one-on-one interview later that he was grateful Maurissa seemed to enjoy the kiss. (For what it’s worth, a lot of BiP fans on Twitter seemed to believe that this couple was truly the first to kiss on the episode.)
Mari Pepin-Solis and Kenny Braasch
Despite Kenny showing up completely naked to Paradise—and despite their 15-year age difference—Mari Pepin-Solis developed a thing for him early on. Apparently the feeling was mutual, because the two were making out by the end of the first night.
Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt
Joe had a minor freakout during night one after remembering how he’d fallen in love with Kendall Long on the show in the past. The two ended up dating for two years and broke up over distance issues, he later revealed; during the BiP premiere, Joe spent a lot of time wandering the beach alone. Eventually, Serena Pitt (a.k.a. Serena P.) pulled him aside and the two had a great talk—and ended up kissing. “Starting to develop feelings for Serena does make me want to stay,” the 35-year-old Joe shared afterward about 23-year-old Serena.
Ivan Hall and Jessenia Cruz
Ivan Hall and Jessenia Cruz’s makeout didn’t get much airplay, but Adams definitely counted it in his breakdown of who kissed who.
Aaron Clancy and Tammy Ly
Aaron Clancy and Tammy Ly had an early vibe going on, and also made Adams’ list of first-day makeouts. Will all of these couples will stand the test of time? Well, the men have the roses for the first rose ceremony of BiP Season 7, so we’ll have to wait and see which new relationships really have staying power… although according to Reality Steve(spoiler alert!!), two of these couples actually wind up engaged by the end of Season 7: Joe and Serena and Kenny and Mari! (As for Maurissa, she apparently ends up with… Riley?!) Next, find out all about the new hosts of Bachelor in Paradise!
