Tyra Banks will also be returning, making it her second year as host of the show, and it is expected that Len Goodman,Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will all be seated at the judging table. Last season, of course, Len wasn’t able to perform judging duties as he was unable to travel to the U.S. due to COVID-19 restrictions, but he did manage to appear occasionally virtually. At the end of season 29, Parade.com spoke to Tyra to get her thoughts on season 30 to see if she had any thoughts on the milestone season. “I think there is something that is beautiful about a retrospective when you hit a milestone year,” Tyra said. “At the same time, there are so many new viewers this season of Dancing With the Stars and they might not resonate with a retrospective. So, if we do a retrospective, it would have to be for those diehard fans that have been here forever, but not like inside baseball where the new people don’t know what the heck is going on. So, it would need to still feel new if that was the decision to be made.” As of now, the premiere date for season 30 is TBD as are the celebrity contestants and pro dancers, who will be named at a later date. The season 29 winner for DWTS was former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe with dance partner Artem Chigvintsev, followed by Catfish creator Nev Schulman and pro partner Jenna Johnson in second place.
