The two were interviewed about their new movie, Ticket to Paradise, which comes out Oct. 21, by TODAY’s Hoda Kotb, who asked the pressing question: what it’s like filming kissing scenes after being friends for so long. Kotb said, “Is it awkward to kiss your dear, dear friend?” Clooney quickly responded, “It is when my wife and kids come by to visit,” referring to Amal Clooney and their twins, Alexander and Ella. Roberts picked up the story and explained, “That was the first day they came to visit. It was like, ‘Papa! Oh, Auntie Ju-Ju!,’” imitating Clooney’s five-year-old kids. She continued, “It’s like, ‘Ah! Get ’em out! Get ’em out!’” Even Kotb couldn’t help but laugh. Clooney then went even further, joking around. He pretended to be his kids, saying, “What are you doing, Papa? What is that?” Of course, he clarified that the kids weren’t actually on set when the kissing scenes were filmed. Kotb then. followed up asking if they struggled not to laugh during kissing scenes. Roberts said, “It’s kinda ridiculous. It is like kissing your best friend.” Clooney butted in, joking, “Well, thanks for that! You know I was a two-time ‘Sexiest Man Alive?,” to which Roberts responded, “Then you go, ‘Wait! My best friend’s George Clooney!’” Along with Ocean’s 11, the sequels, and their latest film, the two mega-stars have acted together in other projects like Money Monster and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. In an interview with The New York Times, Roberts said that her friendship with Clooney and his family helped a lot while she was away from her family filming Ticket to Paradise. Roberts said, “The Clooneys saved me from complete loneliness and despair. We were in a bubble, and it’s the longest I’ve ever been away from my family. I don’t think I’ve spent that much time by myself since I was 25.” The actress is married to cinematographer Danny Moder, and they have three kids, Hazel, Phinnaeus, and Henry. More News:
