The 36-year-old—who grew to prominence thanks to a breakout role in the comedy The Good Place—is currently starring as the villainous Titania on the series. While walking the red carpet ahead of the August 18 premiere, Jamil told Entertainment Tonight that her stunt work for the part led to an NSFW injury. “Oh, I did it all! I did it all. I was hurting in places that I really didn’t know exist,” Jamil disclosed to the interviewer. She continued: “Like, you’ll probably have to bleep this out, but I pulled a muscle in my a—hole. I didn’t know that was possible!” If you’re wondering what sort of stunt would cause such an injury, Jamil said that she learned “jiu-jitsu and kung fu and combat in the air,” all to fight Tatiana Maslany’s character Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk, in the new Disney+ show. Unfortunately, Jamil said that she wasn’t sure if all of her practical stunts made the final cut of the show, adding that “CGI is bonkers.” Regardless, Jamil revealed that she was very proud of her stunt work, stating, “But I got to do all my stunts pretty much myself! And that was something I’ve never done before because I’m the ultimate couch potato. I am just a puddle with bangs.” In the series, Jamil’s character makes a grand entrance in the first episode, barging into a courtroom as Walters is working her day job. With red hair and a flashy outfit, Titania is Walters’ main nemesis. The show also stars Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Charlie Cox in his big return as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. More Pop Culture:
