While Prince Harry may not see the appeal, the video game, available on a multitude of platforms, has been a global phenomenon for years, with players coming together across the world for matches every day. Now, those matches will earn one skillful player a pretty penny, thanks to Fortnite and YouTuber MrBeast’s new partnership. To celebrate the occasion, they’re hosting the MrBeast Extreme Survival Challenge, from which one lucky player will walk away with one million dollars (USD). Taking place tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 17, eligible players worldwide can take as much time as they need during the hours of 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST to avoid hazards, collect coins, and survive extreme challenges to rack up the highest score they possibly can, with the top-scoring player netting a cool million-dollar prize. The top 100,000 players will also earn the golden Beast Brella Umbrella for their Locker. The island, accessible from the “Fortnite Competitive” row on the Discover screen or by entering island code 7990-6907-8565, is now available so that players can practice ahead of the challenge. In order to participate, players must be in good standing and have two-factor authentication enabled and verified on their Epic account. They must also be at least 13 years old, with an account level of 15 or higher, and adhere to the game’s code of conduct. The full eligibility requirements can be found in MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge Official Rules. In addition to the competition, MrBeast’s partnership involves a new addition to the Fortnite Icon Series. As such, the Fortnite Item Shop now includes MrBeast Outfits, accessories and the Beast Blastin’ Emote. There are also two MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Quests, available through Jan. 4, which, upon completion, will earn players the MrBeast Gaming Spray and the MrBeast Survival Games Loading Screen.
