Today’s Wordle Answer #251: Friday, Feb. 25, 2022
TGIF, Wordlers! If you need a hint for today’s Wordle solution, may we suggest picturing some bright colors? Or, if your mind is of the filthier variety, an NSFW video brand. We tested out “PROUD” as our Wordle starting wordtoday for the first time, and immediately wished we’d actually used “ALOUD,” because that would have given or eliminated a third vowel. While not terribly effective, we did get our ending letter, D, in place, so it wasn’t a total waste. Next, we decided on “LIKED,” knowing that D was our ending letter and wanting to use or eliminate more vowels with I and E. We had our I in place and knowing that E was eliminated, the puzzle got tricky. As it turns out, very few five-letter words in the English language have this specific combination. Without E before the D, many Wordlers likely may have opted for words ending in “ND.” However, depending on your starting word, those may have literally been impossible to test, too. “VIVID” is the Wordle #251 solution, and while we got it in three tries, it doesn’t mean it didn’t take us long to figure out! We can bet that depending on your pals’ starting words, they likely got this bad boy in at least four or five tries. If you got it in fewer, give yourself a hand!
