What is the “Corn Song”?
The “Corn Song” is based on a video from the TikTok account @doingthings, where a young boy (now being lovingly referred to as the “corn kid” or “corn boy” online) talks about really liking corn and saying various things like, “When I tried it with butter, everything changed,” “I mean, just look at this thing” (while holding up his corn on the cob), “A big lump with knobs” (describing corn) and the incredibly short yet quotable: “It’s corn!!!” The “Corn Song” was created in response to the adorable corn interview by TikTok account @schmoyoho, as they hilariously utilized some autotune to create a (super catchy, TBH) song using snippets of the original video.
Who is Schmoyoho?
Schmoyoho is actually made by The Gregory Brothers (Michael, Andrew, Sarah and Evan) who have a popular YouTube channel with around 3.43 million subscribers. While they used to create videos under the series “Auto-Tune the News,” they now post many under “Songify the News.” TikTok account @schmoyoho has had many viral videos—especially thanks to their funny songs based on Stranger Things scenes. For example, they created a “Wake Up Song” that was made as an “alarm for all the Chrissys and Chrises” based on Stranger Things. This one has had almost 20 million views! Anyway, we’ll be casually humming along to the “Corn Song” for the foreseeable future! Next up, actor Max Greenfield joins TikTok to show off dance moves!
