As announced at the beginning of the episode, this was the first part of a “Megaleg” that had the teams doing two Detours and two Roadblocks across two different cities. As such, the episode ended on “To Be Continued” as most of the teams had completed the first half of the leg.

At the halfway point of the Megaleg, Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss continue to cruise in first place. Despite Derek’s slowgoing nature on the bike, and Claire unable to handle the fish during the Detour, the couple’s craftiness with the tasks has kept them in the lead. Aubrey Ares and David Hernandez are in the top for the first time in a while, currently in second thanks to Aubrey’s skills at the Roadblock. And Luis Colon and Michelle Burgos are close behind, the only team to have paddleboarded during the Detour.
