In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former reality TV star opened up about her daughter’s little one, who she believes might be her own mother reincarnated. “The most joy is my granddaughter, Khai,” Yolanda stated, while sharing, “I feel like my mom came back in this little miniature, incredible little human being.” Yolanda’s mother, Ans van den Herik, died in 2019 at age 78 following a battle with cancer. “She does things and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, that’s my mom,” Yolanda continued of Gigi’s 2-year-old tot. “She loves everything. Nature, horses, little ants, she’s careful with everything. She’s just the joy of my life and actually the whole family.” Gigi, 27, welcomed Khai back in 2020, while she was still dating Khai’s father, Zayn Malik, who the model has since broken things off with. Since Khai joined the famous family—which also includes model and Gigi’s sister, Bella Hadid, 26—Yolanda has been reveling in her new role as a grandmother, calling the experience “the most incredible time of life.” Yolanda—whom Khai calls “Oma”—told the publication that “in America, I think grandma has a little bit of an old people connotation to it. But you know, in Holland, the oma thing, it’s fresh, it’s great. I’m 58, I think, ‘Thank God we had this baby now, she’s our greatest blessing.’ “I’m just so joyful every day if I get to see her. It’s incredible,” Yolanda added, while adding that it’s still nice to not be the baby’s primary caretaker. “Gigi’s such a great mom herself,” she said of her eldest. “But I love to take her to go riding or to do things at the farm and then I bring her back to her mommy and, you know, it’s ‘Byeeee, I’m going to see my boyfriend and we’re gonna go horseback riding right now.’ And it’s great that it’s not your full-time thing, but it’s a love. I feel like I grew a whole other heart.” More News:
